Assignment 4

This is the inside of my zine, page one contains a table of contents. Page 2 and 3 is about things that you can do while in quarantine, page 4 contains practices that restaurants do as well as a brief article of what it feels like to be and essential worker. I was able to include images for just about every column however looking at this now moving forward i might tweak this and play with were i have the images.

  1. Hi Yitzhak,

When looking at the overall design of your layouts it seems that your style of formatting is all the same. The title is in the top left corner, two columns for text, same font, and at least one or two pictures in the bottom section of the page . The images that you used in your design also are all around the same size. I would have liked to see more variation in your designs rather than sticking to the same layout for each page. Whether that be changing font size, positioning, variation in image size and layout.
I was really excitied by your front and back cover designs for your magazine, but the interior pages communicate something very different. Your covers used very bold colors where your interior consitently used the white background and images are not very saturated. If you incorporate your illustraitions, consistent color palette, similar typefaces it would have made your interior pages and cover seem more cohesive with eachother.

  2. For composition it is mostly good, I would just recommend moving around the images from the first page, maybe putting them all at the bottom or all along the right side. I feel like the font styles chosen work well for this type of zine and the topics in it. Some things I notice with the text are on the second page the paragraph font sizes are different, and for the content page you should increase the size for "Page 2,3,4" to give it more emphasis over what each page is about. I also agree with Alaina to bring together the themes of your covers and the interior, to make the inside more exciting and interesting to read.
